Founded in 1921, Modesto Junior College has since served community living on the California's Great Central Valley. The College offers several campus locations, namely East Campus, West Campus, and Westside Center. MJC is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges to award certificates and associate degree and approved by the State Department of Education for training veterans.
The College’s academic divisions include the following: Agriculture & Environmental Sciences; Allied Health and Family & Consumer Sciences Division; Arts, Humanities & Communications; Business, Behavioral & Social Sciences; Community & Economic Development; Literature & Language Arts; Physical, Recreation & Health Education; Public Safety; Science, Math & Engineering; and Technical Education.

The Administration of Justice programs are available both online and as traditional degree/certificate programs. Online options provide busy working professionals or those who seek to become one with flexibility and convenience of distance education.
Students at MJC can apply for financial aid to pay for their education. The financial aid includes such options as Federal & State Grants, Board of Governors Enrollment Fee Waiver (BOGW), Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOP&S), Work-Study Programs, and Loans. Moreover, students may be eligible and apply for scholarships, veteran services programs and CalWORKs.
