Jamestown Community College is a two-year college in the SUNY system founded in 1950. It was the first community college in the State University of New York.
The college has grown from an enrollment of 169 students attending classes at Jamestown High School to an enrollment of over 3,500 in a multi-campus institution. JCC provides a learning environment which encourages growth and change while maintaining high academic standards.
It is committed to the humanities and liberal arts while expanding to meet the social imperatives of vocational education and community service. The college serves those students desiring transfer programs, provides technical and career programs for those who wish to seek employment immediately after graduation, and offers the community the opportunity to pursue part-time study for improvement of job skills and cultural enrichment.
Students have the opportunity to advance their career with an online associate degree or certificate from JCC. They can pursue their educational and career goals while balancing family or work commitments with the convenience and flexibility of online learning. JCC prepares individuals for a new career with an associate degree or certificate.
Online learning is a challenging and rewarding way to reach your educational goals, but it is not for everyone. We offer six online programs and three certificate programs. Moreover, JCC also offers a variety of online courses available to anyone who meets the course requirements.
Jamestown Community College strives to connect you to your goals by providing challenging educational experiences in a caring environment.
