| Services: YesJapan Lessons: For $14.95/mo, members receive access to all of YesJapan.com's Japanese lessons. There are 5 complete, comprehensive courses. They start assuming you know nothing about Japanese and work you up from there. The lessons teach you how to read, write, and speak Japanese. Every Japanese word, sentence, conversation, and reading comprehension has a a sound file attached to it, so our students can click the sound button and hear a native Japanese person saying that word or sentence. Also included with the lessons membership is the Ask A Teacher service. Students not only have access to every single question that has ever been asked since YesJapan started in 1997, but also can submit their own questions to be answered by our Japanese teachers. This service is provided at no additional cost. They also receive access to our J-E, E-J dictionary, verb and adjective conjugator, Kanji search functions, and much more. These lessons are self paced, and self study so students go as fast or slow as they like, and can jump ahead or go back to review whenever they please. The newest service offered by YesJapan.com is YesJapan Live. These are 70 minute classes using Skype Voice over IP technology. Up to four students can join a lesson with one of our teachers. Each lesson covers a specific lesson from YesJapan. The emphasis on the the YesJapan Live classes is on conversational Japanese. New classes are always being added, and as long as there is at least 1 student signed up, no class will be canceled (unless under extreme circumstances). The approximate price for YesJapan Live is $26.73/70 minute class. Also available is YesJapan's Japanese Topics Shows. These shows are a good time and feature George, the creator of YesJapan, and a Japanese co host. They discuss various topics about Japan and learning Japanese, and give the viewer a good feel for how natural Japanese conversation sounds. The shows have subtitles to emphasize key words or grammar ideas, and often feature some clips of Japan, or quizzes at the end. The shows are a lot of fun and really engage the student. They are perfect for those with a little bit of experience in Japanese all the way up to fluent. These shows give us the opportunity to teach Japanese that you would never be able to teach in a book or classroom setting. There are currently over 130 shows available for purchase/download. The shows are sold on a credits system. Each credit costs $.99 and each show is between 2-5 credits (most are 3). New shows are constantly begin added (we aim for every week, but hectic schedules don't always allow for a new show every week). There is also always specials and discounts running on the shows, and discounts are also given to members on recurring membership plans that receive credits every week. These plans are called YesJapan Plus (19.95) which receives all of the benefits of the standard lessons plan, as well as 10 credits per month, and YesJapan Super ($24.95) which is the same as plus, only with 15 credits. Last, but not least, YesJapan offers Japanese music mp3's for download. They are sold using the same credit system as the shows, and each song costs 1 credit. We currently have over 50 bands, and new bands are being added every month. YesJapan contracts directly with the band or it's label and royalties are paid accordingly.
