UK Accreditation
In general, if a Distance Learning course/degree is offered by a UK University or College, you should be confident of its quality.

Have a look at

United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators.

British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education
BAC is a registered charity (non-profit-making organisation) which was established in 1984 to act as the national accrediting body for independent further and higher education. It is independent both of government and of the colleges with which it accredits.

Open and Distance Learning Quality Council
ODL QC is the UK guardian of quality in open and distance learning. Set up originally by government in 1968, it is now an independent body.
