Students are sent a study package for each course in which they are enrolled prior to the commencement of each semester. The cost of producing and distributing these study packages is included as part of the tuition fee.
Study packages are a comprehensive week-by-week guide to each course. The packages contain all the information that on-campus students receive during their lectures and tutorials. They may include:
* study books,
* selected readings from journals, newspapers or books,
* audio tapes and/or video tapes,
* computer managed learning booklets,
* CD ROMs or floppy disks,
* assignment information,
* exercises, tutorial questions and answers.
USQ was awarded the Commonwealth of Learning Award of Excellence for Institutuional Achievement at the third Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning, in July 2004.
