American Sentinel University was founded in 1988 to offer distance learning programs. The privately-owned independent college once named, "American Institute for Computer Sciences," changed its name to better reflect what students can accomplish with distance education.

Tuition
Bachelor of Science Programs
Earning a B.S. degree requires completion of 123 semester credit hours. You may be eligible to receive up to 90 hours of credit toward the 123 hours required based on prior college, professional certifications and credit awarded for life and work experience. You’ll enroll in American Sentinel University for an annual term and complete between 18 to 20 semester hours (5 or 6 courses) with tuition ranging from $2610 to $2900, depending on the degree program you choose. With transfer credit, and credit for professional certifications and life and work experience, most students earn their degrees within 3 to 4 years. Your annual term will begin when you enroll and you’ll have up to 12 months to complete each the term (6 month extensions may be granted). If you finish early, you can move on to your next term if your tuition is paid in full. Ask your admissions advisor about low cost financial aid options.
Master of Science Programs in Computer Science and Information Systems
Completion of an M.S. degree requires 39 semester hours. You may be eligible to transfer up to 12 hours from previous graduate study. Your annual term in the M.S. programs encompasses 12 semester credit hours (3 or 4 courses) for $2340. You’ll have up to 12 months to complete each annual term. If you finish early, you can move on to your next term if your tuition is paid in full.
MBA
To earn an MBA degree requires completion of 39 credit hours. You may be eligible to transfer up to 12 hours from previous graduate study. Your annual term is for 12 semester hours (4 courses) for $2640. You’ll have up to 12 months to complete each annual term (6 month extensions may be granted). If you finish early, you can move on to your next term if your tuition is paid in full.
