All online classes receive the same credit as other Academy classes, allowing students to study online toward their degree. Full degree and certificate programs are also available online. Like all Academy classes, the curriculum is taught by Academy of Art University professional faculty. The online curriculum is updated and expanded every semester.
The Academy of Art University has been approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education of the State of California to grant the degrees of Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Associate of Arts (AA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA) and Certificates. The Academy is accredited by the national Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The BFA Interior Architecture & Design program is accredited by the Foundation of Interior Design Education and Research (FIDER) as a FIDER Accredited Professional Level Program.
